Matt is an experienced Medical Scientist, having worked within diagnostic pathology since 2017. Matt then went on to become a Senior Business Analyst and was responsible for deploying a new Laboratory Information System within a national pathology company. Most recently, Matt has been the Area Operations Manager for a diagnostic pathology company in Perth, where he led the operational and financial performance of pathology laboratories and collection centres within the Perth Metropolitan, Wheatbelt, and Goldfield’s regions of Western Australia. Matt holds a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney.

  • Key Achievements
    • Matt's key career achievements to date include specifying and implementing a new Laboratory Information System, which enhanced the testing capacity of diagnostic laboratories nationally to respond to the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak. In Western Australia, Matt was responsible for leading the operations of multiple laboratories in the largest private hospitals of Perth, during a period of significant growth amidst Covid-19 restrictions. During his masters degree, Matt developed a public health campaign to increase awareness of mosquito-borne diseases in the mountainous regions of Guatemala.
