Dr Lisa Hall is an epidemiologist and health services researcher with significant policy experience at statewide and national levels.  She is internationally recognised for her research which focuses on the interface between evidence, policy and implementation to improve the surveillance and prevention of healthcare associated infections and antimicrobial resistance.  Her work examines not only the effectiveness, but also the cost-effectiveness, feasibility and sustainability of health services.  She is a technical expert on the Australian Commission of Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQHC) Healthcare Associated Infection Advisory Committee, a role she has held continuously since 2009.

  • Key Achievements
    • Since 2013, Lisa Hall has been named as a Chief Investigator on grants and consultancies worth over $20 million. 

      Her work has informed policy developed by the Australian Commission of Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQHC), and the Australasian College of Infection Prevention and Control (ACIPC).  She was a co-author of three national surveillance implementation guides used by hospitals throughout Australia for the monitoring of healthcare associated infections. Dr Hall has been an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Infection Control since 2016.
