Research Officer

Overview

Dr Maria Daglas is a postdoctoral researcher at the Doherty Institute exploring neuroimmune interactions in the spleen following viral infection. She was awarded her PhD from Monash University in 2018, where she investigated the acute and long-term effects of traumatic brain injury on the immune and fibrinolytic system. She subsequently joined the laboratories of Professor Paul Adlard at the Florey Institute, and Professor Janet Keast and Associate Professor Peregrine Osborne at the University of Melbourne as a postdoctoral researcher, where she pursued new research directions within the neuroscience field. Her research interests span neuroimmunology, neurotrauma, cell metabolism, and vascular biology.
