Rory Shepherd

PhD Candidate

Overview

Rory Shepherd is a PhD student in the Lewin lab, focusing on HIV cure strategies. He also has an interest in novel sequencing techniques and RNA therapeutics. Rory started at the Doherty Institute in 2021, linking his prior studies in neuroscience to his interests in virology, researching the interactions between acute stress and HIV. Rory was the 2023 president POSSIIM, the Doherty Institute’s student society.
