Oanh completed her PhD from Monash University, Melbourne (2010). She did her postdoctoral training with Associate Professor Tom Kotsimbos (Monash-Alfred, 2010-2013) before joining Professor Katherine Kedzierska at The University of Melbourne (2014). Oanh is currently a Senior Research Fellow and Group Leader in the Kedzierska Laboratory at The Peter Doherty Institute. Dr Nguyen’s research focusses on B cell and T cell immunology in hospitalised patient cohorts infected with respiratory viral infections. Her work defines immune responses to influenza virus infection and following vaccination, which lead to her discoveries in COVID-19.
