Dr Anh Nguyen

Infectious Disease Modeler

Overview

Dr Anh Nguyen is an infectious disease modeller with current research aimed to develop disease burden estimation and mathematical modelling approaches to inform the surveillance, monitoring and evaluation of progress towards national strategies for the elimination of hepatitis B. Anh has a background in economics with a specialisation in health economics. He has held research positions in academia in Vietnam, working in health economics evaluation and HIV prevention. In 2022 Anh was awarded is PhD from the University of Tasmania for his work investigating the health economics aspects of primary liver cancer.
