Dr Alicia Arnott

Deputy Head of Epidemiology, VIDRL

Overview

Alicia is a genomic epidemiologist with over 15 years of experience in developed and developing country settings. She holds a PhD in Virology and a Masters of Applied Epidemiology. As Deputy Head of Epidemiology at VIDRL, she specialises in the implementation of pathogen genomics to inform public health management of viral pathogens including Mpox, measles, SARS-CoV-2, Hepatitis E and A virus. She is actively involved in national and international public health networks demonstrating the translational impact of her work on global public health. In addition, Alicia coordinates the Infectious Diseases Epidemiology subject at the University of Melbourne.
