A registered nurse since 1999, Eamon McIntyre has worked across varied medical specialties with particular interest in infectious diseases and public health. For the majority of his career, Eamon has worked in sexual health and related fields such as HIV, viral hepatitis, community sexual health service provision and coordination and continuous quality improvement. His career has taken him from Victoria to South Australia and the Northern Territory and back again. Appointments have been in inpatient care, community nursing, regional service coordination and research. Eamon’s current appointment with the Victorian Tuberculosis Program sees him shift his focus from sexual health to tuberculosis. Eamon has achieved a Masters of Public Health, Graduate Certificate in Public Health (Sexual Health) and is a Nurse Immuniser.
