Transmission dynamics, surface decontamination and disinfection

Transmission dynamics is important for understanding how COVID-19 spreads through populations and environments. There is limited knowledge of how long and under what conditions the virus is able to survive on surfaces, both wet and dry, cold and hot. Understanding these dynamics is essential to evaluate surface decontamination products and whether these products can be used effectively in healthcare, education, occupational and other settings. We are also evaluating various materials, disinfectants and antiseptics for their ability to eliminate or host the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
