Chris Kearney is the Senior Program Manager for Doherty Clinical Trials Ltd. Chris has led project management and innovation activity in the public health sector for fifteen years, with roles in health service operations, strategy, technology and research. He specialises in business implementation, health and research funding, systems development and collaborative-enabling of organisational partnerships.

He has held teaching and supervisory roles in data-driven research and health service redesign, delivering short courses and informing infrastructure and capacity-building for health services research using large-scale linked data.

  • Key Achievements
    • Chris completed a Master of Health Administration (MHA) through the Australiasian College of Health Service Management’s Health Management Internship Program, and went on to complete a Master of Public Health (MPH) while working in redesign and health service management roles.

      He was Program Manager for the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Alliance’s Data-Driven Research Program, which conducted Australia’s first linkage of primary care to hospital data.

      He facilitated establishment of Doherty Clinical Trials Ltd – Australia’s only facility purpose-built for human challenge trials - alongside subject matter experts from the Doherty Institute and the University of Melbourne.
