As part of Forbes Week, visiting guest speaker Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman from University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, will speak to Drug Use and Infection.
Dr Kamarulzaman has dedicated her career to the prevention, treatment and research of infectious diseases and HIV/AIDS. She is also a strong advocate for HIV prevention, treatment and care programs in marginalised communities. Her medical career began at Monash University, and then went on to train in Infectious Diseases in Melbourne. Upon returning to Malaysia, she established one of the first Infectious Diseases Units in the country which has become a leading tertiary referral centre for infectious diseases and HIV/AID.
